Here are some pictures from the past few days at the cottage! We begin with Julia asleep on the bed in the front porch.
Next we have Luka and Liam. These boys are just six weeks apart in life! (Luka is younger)
Aren't they cute together!!?!
Here's a picture of Luka in the bumbo chair. It's been so hot lately that all he is wearing these days is a diaper. It's a lot of work for him to sit up in the chair but he's getting stronger every day.
Next we have a campfire sequence. Check out the crazy blaze that Mark made:
Dale and I decided that it was a bit too crazy so we moved a little farther away to keep the kiddies safe.
Carol came down to the beach to join us. Julia loves marshmallows but she prefers when they're not roasted
Julia and Grandpa Dale:
Luka having a little nap at the cottage (before the heat wave hit):
Just hanging out on the beach:
Believe it or not Julia isn't sad here she's just deep in thought:
Playing Play-Doh with Grandma Carol:
Playing on the beach:
Heading down to the beach:
Julia with two soothers in her mouth. Neither of our kids ever really took them! Despite our attempts to soothe them!!
Our final shot is the two heads of Dale and Carol swimming in the lake:
We are gearing up for a trip to Quebec! It will be our first road trip of the summer. We'll see how good these kiddies are on the road...

Summer Update
Hello! Time for a long overdue update!! Please excuse our absence as our days have been jam packed with summer fun! We have been spending lots of time with friends and doing things around our neighbourhood. Julia is at the perfect age for going to the park. I have never known our local parks so well.
As I type this is what Luka is up to:
And this is what Mark and Julia are up to:
Lately Julia has been falling asleep listening to stories on her digital music box. The batteries finally died and needed to be replaced . Here is a photo of Julia in her "monkey jammies" as she "fixes" the music box. Note the little screwdrivers all over the place.
Over the past few days we have started to put Luka in the Bumbo chair. He is able to sit in it for a few minutes but then gets tired. His core strength is still a work in progress.
We've been visiting our local wading pools on hot and sunny days. Here's a picture of Julia after a swim.
Mark and Julia swinging around:Our happy boy. Luka is a very laid back little fella. He is so content and easy going. He LOVES it when you talk to him.
I actually forget where this picture was taken but once again the little green chair is in use.
Julia wearing the lovely summer dress that Auntie Joanne and Uncle Phil brought back for her on their travels south.
And finally we have Julia out on our deck wearing the pig onesie that Meghan gave us before Julia was born. You can really see her dimple in this picture!
We took a bunch of pictures at the Zoo yesterday and I'll give them their very own post. I'm going to make a homemade frappucino now. It's a hot and sunny day!!
