Julia Impersonates Donald Duck...

We love our kids to bits!
When Julia woke up yesterday with a super-swollen upper lip we were baffled.  She has been complaining that her front tooth has been hurting lately but we got that checked out at the dentist.
Julia said that "a spider pooped on (her) gums in the night and that's why she's swollen".    Ah yes, of course!
Fortunately she didn't complain that it hurt.
The swelling went down as the day went on and by today she looks normal again.  But the mystery lingers....

Shenanigans

Winter 2012 is in full gear.   Here are some shots from the last few weeks.
Our big boy has eight teeth.  He got four at once over the Christmas holidays.  It made him pretty uncomfortable for many days.
Here we have Julia getting ready to head out to the UNB hockey game with Daddy and Luka.  She was practicing the clappers.  (I know, she's not wearing a Leafs jersey...  Shame on me).
 Our sleeping beauty:
Julia LOVES wearing Mark's baseball cap.  It's so big on her head but that doesn't stop her.   Here she is wearing her beloved butterfly dress that my Mom bought her in New Orleans.  She had something in her eye but that didn't stop the smiles.
We went for a Valentine Chocolate-Making Party at Melissa's house.  Luka headed straight for the booze.  Funny boy...
 Julia and Melissa working hard:
 Julia requested purple chocolates:
Here is one of the final products:
Lindsay and Finn came by for the fun:
Happy, happy girl eating a Valentine cookie.  I think that her smile looks so much like my mother's.
And finally we have Lukie asleep in Daddy's arms, holding a butterfly shaker.
We've had big changes with Luka and speech over the past week.  He is starting to get really good at repeating sounds.  So far he will try to sing "Ba Ba Black Sheep" - Luka's version is "ba ba ba ba" (Ahhhh!  He's biting my heel as I type this!!).  As of yesterday he has started to say "hiiii" too.  So sweet to watch babies figure these things out.
